How do I build an effective study plan?
We recommend that you combine the reading of the CII study book with the Wizard material to provide a good solid study plan. This will give you a variety and range of material to make your studies easier, add some targets and greatly improve your chances of exam success.
The CII themselves quite rightly say that you should study more widely than just their own material. They do stress that their study book is only based on the syllabus and is not guaranteed to provide ALL the answers to questions you might be examined on. It is worth therefore, where you can, reading around the subject you are studying for example, by looking at relevant articles in the financial press.
Our text based courses (available for certain exams within our Learning Academy section) provide an ideal source of alternative reading. Each chapter is accompanied by revision questions. There are final assessments and a case study with accompanying questions. Their combined use will contribute towards a good proportion of your study time.
It is vital that you make effective use of your time. As well as reading about a subject, you need to constantly monitor what you have learned. Our assessment based material can be especially helpful in this respect. By taking the 50 question assessments at regular intervals (from the subject knowledge questions/assessment package) you can measure your performance on an ongoing basis. The answers and explanations (in certain areas) also provide an effective revision tool. We also recommend that you build in time after taking all the 50 question assessments (at least once) to take short randomly generated questions from the full question bank.
Our Practice Exam Package products for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma will also help with your technique. We recommend that the mock papers are completed towards the end of your revision program but allow enough time to take on board comments from our marker on your assessor marked mock paper. The 3 case studies cover key syllabus areas and can be slotted into your study plan at regular intervals.
How do I view my CPD certificate or any marked results?

To view any self-marked or assessor marked papers (from the practice exam packages) click on My Account from the left hand menu.
